Perfect combination of lightness, power and modulation

The Alpha 2 is a hydraulic brake that performs equally well on- and off-road. Designed to meet the requirements of e-bikes, it guarantees progressive and sustained braking performance whether mounted on an e-bike or a traditional bike. The lever’s design including manual guard adjustment permits an optimised grip for precision braking. Like all Bontaz brakes, the calliper and master cylinder are fully removable for total repairability.

Brake optimised for e-bikes

The Alpha 2 has been designed to meet the constraints of e-bikes and offer consistent stopping power. Its compensating tank reduces air formation in the system and ensures long-lasting performance. The Alpha 2 ensures safety and control in all situations.

Ease of initiation

Thanks to the two-finger lever design and manual guard adjustment, the Alpha 2 optimises the grip. The adjustments are facilitated by the presence of a dial that enables the rider to adjust the guard at any time. Dead travel has been reduced to allow gradual, easy-to-modulate braking.

Lightweight, resistant and interchangeable levers

The Alpha 2 levers are designed from Carbontaz© +. This material, developed by Bontaz, comes from high-tech composites with glass fibres added for heightened resistance. Its use produces levers that are both lightweight and resistant. Bontaz brake levers are removable and interchangeable.
