Bontaz technology at an affordable price for urban and offroad riding

The Alpha 1 is a versatile hydraulic brake adapted to both urban and off-road conditions. It offers balanced and progressive braking power to maintain control at all times. Aimed at riders looking for an accessible, reliable and low-maintenance brake, the Alpha 1 is the entry point to the Alpha range. The fact it inherits many technologies from the prestigious family product range confers a huge USP on it. Like all Bontaz brakes, the calliper and master cylinder are fully removable for total repairability.

Optimised ergonomics

The ergonomics of the Alpha 1 brake have been designed to adapt to all morphologies. Thanks to the injection moulding process combined with our expertise, we have been able to develop a very specific lever shape to facilitate grip for greater braking control.

Recyclable composite lever

The Alpha 1 is equipped with a Carbontaz© lever. This material from high-tech composites developed by Bontaz, produces levers that are both lightweight and resistant. In addition to being made from recycled materials, it has the advantage of being 100% recyclable. All our brake levers are removable and interchangeable.

Progressive and balanced braking

Like all brakes in the Alpha range, the Alpha 1 has a twin-piston calliper that guarantees gradual and balanced braking. The piston dimensions have been optimised to ensure consistent performance, even during repeated braking. It is compatible with most adapters available in the market.

Carbontaz® technology

Carbontaz® is a recycled, 100% recyclable material made from a blend of high-tech composites. It offers the same tensile and fracture strength as aluminium for half the weight.
